Children are forever changing, and growing into new people. One minute they're coloring on themselves with markers, the next they are asking why that person is black, or white. Acceptance is a major part of development, research shows that children who are more accepting of the qualities that make them different, excel later in life. Especially if that behavior is maintained and encouraged by the adults around them. Here are some books that will help your child from a birth to adolescence recognize, understand, and accept their differences.

NOTE: This hub is designed so you can read it with your child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or whoever you're babysitting!

NOTE: Readability pertains to how easy it is to read to children at the age suggested. The more stars, the easier!

Thank You For Reading!

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed reading it, and please come back with a little one. Children need to know they have a choice in the matters that concern them. One is certainly acceptance of who they are. These books are great examples and I really hope the children in your life have an opportunity to enjoy them.

Thank you, tell me though, what do you think about the use of colors? That is if you don't mind. I am very interested in how people view this hub.
